Looking for free things to do in Fredericksburg?

What are your plans for 2022?

We love traveling, so we always like to have great destinations planned each year. But traveling can be costly, so we do what we can to save money and still experience a new place.

The Blue Door Haus is a comfortable and affordable option that is a great place to relax and restore your soul. We have smart TVs if you want to just Netflix and chill, board games for family fun, an oversized backyard with a covered patio and large playscape for an all-around good time!

But if you're looking to get out and about (without breaking the bank), here are some great FREE options for exploring Fredericksburg:

👉 WALKING TOURS: Take a free walking tour in the historic district, visit the Lyndon B. Johnson State Park and Historic Site, experience farm life through a self-guided tour of the Sauer-Beckmann Living History Farm, or learn about the war in the Pacific. Walk through the grounds of the National Museum of the Pacific War. The Plaza of Presidents features ten monuments honoring presidents who served during World War II.

👉 WINDOW SHOP: Fredericksburg has more than 150 shops and boutiques, making it the perfect place to window shop. Take a stroll down Main Street, peruse one (or more) or the 20+ antique stores, take in Fredericksburg Trade Days with its more than 400 vendors, explore the Warehouse District, or visit the numerous art galleries around town.

👉 EXPLORE THE GREAT OUTDOORS: Visit the playgrounds located at Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park, Old Fair Park, or Marktplatz; head over to the top of Cross Mountain, which includes walking trails, a butterfly garden and picnic areas; or visit the nation's largest working wildflower farm, Wildseed Farms.

👉 LISTEN TO LIVE MUSIC: Head on over to Luckenbach or visit one of the great live music venues throughout town.

We hope to see you soon! Book here: https://bit.ly/BlueDoorHaus
